Diamond Cycle Centre is a family-run business established in 2010 by Steve and Ben Diamond. Starting out in an Industrial Unit in Charlesfield, St Boswells with a small range of Raleigh, Diamondback and Merida bikes, they soon realised that they needed to be more central in the Borders and so in August 2013 they moved to our Wilderhaugh Hub in Galashiels. This has been a brilliant move for them as “we now have plenty of on-site parking and a contemporary, bright and airy shop”.
As keen cyclists themselves, they have a huge amount of passion for what they do and love being able to share their enthusiasm with all of their valued customers. They aim to create a personal, friendly experience for you and try to make the process of buying or repairing your bike as easy and stress-free as possible! Our most recent addition to the services we offer at Wilderhaugh (and Hillside, Selkirk) is the Revolution 24/7 outdoor self-service launderette. This automated launderette is equipped with 8kg and 18kg washing machines, built-in hypoallergenic washing liquid pump and a vented dryer. Not only is this machine outdoor and available 24/7 but also very economical: £4 for 8kg wash, £8 for 18kg wash and from only £1 for a dry. You can use the 8kg machine for regular loads or choose the 18kg machine instead to wash all your weekly laundry at once or heavy loads such as duvets, throws, curtains and pillows. Simply pull up to the machine in your car and follow the instructions displayed on the machine.
